ISOLATION
-Matthew 5:14-16 states, … You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill can not be hid. Neither do
men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let
your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven … Surely
you have heard the statement, … NO MAN IS AN ISLAND! Well … It is true. If we are a light in the midst of darkness,
then we are not to hide or isolate ourselves. We are to see ourselves as vessels, called to shine forth the light of the Father.
If we isolate ourselves from people, then we are headed for disaster.
-As we charge ahead into the deep things of God, we must guard against this very thing. Isolation is a side road that will
lead you to destruction. On this road there is a ditch on either side called PRIDE AND BITTERNESS. Many people become prideful
because they know something about God that others do not. As well, many people become bitter because they can not convince
others to see what they see ( perceive ) in God. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ROAD! DO NOT ISOLATE YOURSELF FROM FELLOWSHIP WITH PEOPLE!
ISOLATION IS A RECIPE FOR RUIN AND HEARTACHE! DO NOT FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLING OF YOURSELF TOGETHER WITH OTHER BELIEVERS, AND
EVEN ALL TYPES OF PEOPLE!
-We must learn to be all things to all men, that we might by all means save some ( 1st Corinthians 9:22 ) …
In actuality, we need fellowship as much as others need our fellowship. God will not share His glory with any one person alone,
but He will share it with His body ( the body of Christ ). This body must be willing to come together in one mind and one
accord. This is obviously the opposite of isolation.
-LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!-
