PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE / PART 4
HIS DIVINE POWER
-2nd Peter 1:3 states, … According as His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain
unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue: …
-Are you ready for some HOPE? Are you ready for some GOOD NEWS? Are you ready for a truth from God’s Word
that will set you free from a life of failure, frustration, and condemnation? We as Christians desire to walk in victory.
We desire to be overcomers. We long for the ability and knowledge to walk in the Spirit each and every day. Many set out to
serve God, trying to serve Him on zeal alone, but find themselves hitting a brick wall, not being able to apprehend that which
they are seeking for. Is it that they just don’t want God bad enough? Are they not totally sold out to God? …
NO!
-Remember … The apostle Paul found himself in the same condition. Romans 7:18 states, … For I know
that in me ( that is, in my flesh, ) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is
good I find not …
-So … The question is, HOW DO WE OVERCOME? HOW DO WE WALK IN THE SPIRIT? HOW DO WE BECOME LIKE THE SON
OF GOD? We must first realize (as we have previously stated) that this ability ( the ability to overcome the flesh ) is
not to be found in us. There must be another POWER SOURCE ( other than us ) that is available to us that will enable us
to be who we are called to be. THIS POWER SOURCE IS GOD’S DIVINE POWER! It is SO IMPORTANT that
we understand this, for the scriptures tell us that His divine power has given us all things that pertain unto life and
godliness, through the knowledge of God … If there is something available to us that gives us ALL THINGS that pertain
to life and godliness, then we might want to learn of it, taking notice of what it is, even how to receive of it.
-An understanding of 2nd Peter chapter one will deliver you from a life of trying to please God in
the flesh, for the flesh ( your ability ) WILL FAIL GOD EVERY TIME! 2ND Peter chapter one is one of THE MOST IMPORTANT
PASSAGES of scripture in the entire Bible. If we are able to discover its meaning, then we will be ushered into THE VERY ABUNDANT
LIFE THAT JESUS SPOKE OF!
-WHAT GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES!-
