THE MYSTERY OF FAITH
-1ST Timothy 3:9 states, … Holding the mystery of faith in a pure conscience …
According to Ray Prinzing:
-"Faith" is more than a tenet, a creed, a doctrine of theology. "Faith" is a living, vital confidence
founded in the revelation of divine truth. When we possess and hold the mystic secret of "the faith", it does not
refer to just "any faith," but of "THE FAITH". The identifying article "the" is used in the Greek text, and
specifically identifies it as a certain faith, that TRUTH which was kept hidden from the world until revealed at the
appointed time, and which is secret to ordinary eyes, but is made known by divine revelation. It bespeaks of truth which is
only understood by the illumination of the Holy Spirit." (Whispers Of The Mysteries, Ray Prinzing)
-The key to understanding “THE FAITH” is to be found in a person. The person that we are speaking
of is the Lord Jesus Christ. The mystery of “the faith” is found in Who He is and what He has accomplished..
-Many people have faith, but not “the faith”. Some have faith in themselves, the stock market, their
intelligence, their good looks, their riches, their job, their abilities, their denomination, their Pastor, and so on. As
was just stated, this is faith, but not “the faith”. True faith is exhibited when it is placed in the person and
work ( the cross ) of the Lord Jesus Christ. All else is faith, but not “the faith”.
-Faith remains a mystery to many people due to the fact that they do not associate their faith with Christ and
Him crucified. It is imperative that our faith be placed in the crucified and risen Christ. Colossians 2:14,15 states, …

2nd Corinthians 13:5 states, … Examine yourselves, whether you are in “the faith”; prove your
own selves …
