SODOM AND GOMORRAH
-What about Sodom and Gomorrah? Has God doomed these sinners forever? The story of Sodom and its exceeding wickedness is
known to every Bible reader ( Genesis 19 ). Its awful destruction is still remembered and spoken of by many people today.
Nevertheless, many people have never noticed the wonderful prophecy of future restoration and blessing for Sodom. FUTURE RESTORATION
OF SODOM? BLESSINGS OF GOD UPON SODOM? WHAT?
-Ezekiel 16:55 states, … When your sisters, Sodom and her daughters, SHALL RETURN TO THEIR FORMER ESTATE, and
Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, … Matthew 10:15 states, …It shall be MORE TOLERABLE
for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city …
-Many people are not aware that the Bible declares that Sodom and Gomorrah shall be raised up again in the day of judgment
to be corrected and finally restored TO THEIR FORMER ESTATE. WHAT A MERCIFUL AND LOVING GOD!!! Please note that many cities
will be dealt with MORE SEVERELY than Sodom and Gomorrah. SO DON’T BE TOO HARD ON SODOM AND GOMORRAH! As far as the
destruction of the city is concerned, it was necessary, and part of the purpose of God to bring about His progressive revelation
in the earth. But we must keep in mind that just because God pours out judgment and wrath on people, does not mean that He
has cast them off forever. His judgments and His wrath do not last forever. They are temporary and for the purpose of correction.
OH THAT CHRISTIANS WOULD BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THIS ABOUT THEIR HEAVENLY FATHER!!! God does not condone wickedness of any
kind. But God is able to correct the sinner and restore him to his former estate. Remember … GOD IS LOVE! Remember
… LOVE NEVER FAILS! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO GIVE UP ON SODOM AND GOMORRAH, FOR HE LOVES THEM, AND HIS LOVE WILL
NEVER FAIL THEM!
-Isaiah 57:16 states, … For I ( God ) will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth ( Old Testament word
for wrath ): for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made … Lamentations 3:31,32 states, …
For the Lord will not cast off for ever: But though He cause grief, yet will He have compassion according to the multitudes
of His mercies … Let God show you His GREAT compassion and mercy for all.
