SOVEREIGNTY EXPLAINED
According to George Addair:
-"By the Sovereignty of God, we mean the supremacy of God. We mean His Kingship and Headship. It literally means,
"the Godhood of God". To declare that God is sovereign is to declare that He is God. It is to declare "That He is the most
high, doing according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth, so that none can stay His
hand or say unto Him, What have You done?" (Daniel 4:35). To say that God is sovereign is to declare that He "is the Almighty,
the possessor of all power in heaven and earth, so that none can defeat His counsels, thwart His purpose, or resist His will"
(Psalm 115:3). To say that God is sovereign is to declare that He is "The governor among the nations" (Psalm 22:28). He sets
up kingdoms, overthrows empires, and determines the course of dynasties as pleases Him best. To say that God is sovereign
is to declare that He is "The only potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of Lords" (1 Timothy 6:15)." ( The Absolute Sovereignty

-According to Webster’s Dictionary, the word “sovereign” means: supreme; preeminent; indisputable:
sovereign power. The word “sovereignty” means: supreme and independent power and authority.
-This is the way that we should view our God. The scriptures declare that God has created all things, orchestrates
all things, is before all things, controls all things, and is responsible for all things. That, my friend, IS SOVEREIGN!
According to George Addair:
-"Such a God is revealed in the pages of the Sacred Scriptures. However, God is not described as such in modern
times. The God presented to people in this twentieth century is practically helpless. He is presented as an effeminate being
who commands the respect of no really thoughtful person. Even from the pulpit, the preacher presents God as one who should
be pitied rather than one to be respected. I heard one preacher, when describing the state of affairs on earth today say,
"Poor God!". The message proclaimed in most churches today implies that God has failed because mankind has rejected Him. Few
people seem to realize that He is working ALL THINGS according to His own will (Ephesians 1:11)." ( The Absolute Sovereignty

-Our goal over the next several days will be to prove ( from the scriptures ) that GOD IS SOVEREIGN!
He is not the weak and emaciated God that is presented in modern day Christianity, but …
-IS IN CONTROL OF ALL THINGS!-
