WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF RULING AND REIGNING?
-1ST Corinthians 15:25-27,28 states, … For He must reign UNTIL He has put all enemies under His
feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For He has put all things under His feet … AND WHEN ALL THINGS
SHALL BE SUBDUED UNTO HIM, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him That put ALL THINGS UNDER HIM, THAT GOD MAY
BE ALL IN ALL …
-So … How long will Jesus reign? UNTIL He has put all enemies under His feet, destroyed death ( including the second
death ), and until He has subdued all things unto the Father. This will cause God to be ALL IN ALL ( EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE
)! The question is though, what is the purpose of ruling and reigning?
-Ruling and reigning is for the purpose of:
1. DEALING WITH AND CORRECTING REBELLION
2. CAUSING THE ENEMIES OF GOD TO SUBMIT TO HIM
3. DESTROYING DEATH ( its physical and spiritual aspects )
4. PUTTING ALL THINGS UNDER GOD’S FEET
5. THAT GOD MAY BE ALL IN ALL
-How is it that God will accomplish this task? He is going to bring this about through THE OVERCOMERS! Revelation 2:26,27
states, … And he that OVERCOMES, and keeps my works unto the end, TO HIM WILL I GIVE POWER OVER THE NATIONS: AND HE
SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father
… Psalm 66:3,4 states, … Through the greatness of Your power shall Your enemies SUBMIT THEMSELVES UNTO
YOU. ALL THE EARTH shall worship You, and shall sing unto You; …
-CAN YOU SEE? The whole idea of ruling and reigning is for the purpose of SUBDUING ALL THINGS UNTO THE FATHER! When all
things are subdued unto the Father, Jesus Christ will no longer need to rule and reign, for it will not be necessary. GOD
WILL THEN BE EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE!
-In the meantime, let us seek first the Kingdom of God that we might be a part of Revelation 2:26 ( the overcomers that
will set the creation free ). For He must reign, …
