THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS
-1ST Timothy 3:16 states, … And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God
was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world,
received up into glory …
According to Ray Prinzing:
-"The first key in understanding this mystery, as it relates to us, is in the fact that the word translated
as "God" in the King James version, is not "THEOS" in the Greek text, but it is "hos" which means "who, or which,"
even as Wuest translates it, "WHO was made visible in the sphere of flesh." For while it gives the process as wrought
out in our Lord Jesus Christ, it is also to be shared by those who are apprehended to become ONE IN HIM. Yes, "in all
things He shall have preeminence." [Colossians 1:18]. Yet He is "the firstborn among many brethren," [Romans 8:29], for He
is "bringing many sons unto glory." [Hebrews 2:10]. ( Whispers Of The Mysteries, Ray Prinzing )
-This transformation that takes us from sinfulness to godliness is definitely a mystery. IT IS A GLORIOUS MYSTERY!
It is a mystery that is hidden from the natural man and from the natural mind. Remember … The natural man receives not
the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned ( 1st Corinthians 2:14 ) …
-John 1:1 states, … In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God …
John 1:14 states, … And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, … As you can see, the Word ( God ) was
manifested in the flesh. God was personified in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This was the beginning of the mystery of
God being manifested unto the world. It was necessary for God to be manifested in the flesh for His mystery to come to the
light. Jesus, as the “PATTERN SON OF GOD”, has paved the way for the sons of God. We must follow in His footsteps.
GOD MUST BE MANIFESTED IN OUR FLESH AS WELL!
-Colossians 1:26 states, … Even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, BUT NOW
IS MADE MANIFEST TO HIS SAINTS … the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, WHICH IS CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory:
… This mystery of godliness is the process in which our Heavenly Father is to be manifested in and through His people.
This results in a people who display the very nature of God, being justified in the Spirit, seen of angels ( messengers ),
preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up into glory.
