FORGIVENESS

-Luke 23:34 states, … Then said Jesus, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” …

-WOW!!!-

-THERE IS NO OTHER STATEMENT IN THE BIBLE MORE POWERFUL THAN THIS STATEMENT! The only other statements in the Bible that could even be considered in the same class are … GOD IS LOVE … and … LOVE YOUR ENEMIES!

-FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO!

-WHAT A STATEMENT!-

-As Jesus was being crucified to take away the sin of the world, HE MANIFESTED THE LOVE OF GOD as He saved us from sin and death, by saying, … FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO … Not only did Jesus forgive those who were actually crucifying Him, but He also forgave the whole world ( all who have ever lived, or will live ).

-WHAT A SAVIOR!-

-By forgiving us, Jesus paved the way and left us THE EXAMPLE of what the Father is like. Matthew 6:12 states, … And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors … We must have a revelation of God’s forgiveness, and then extend that same forgiveness to all men ( even our enemies )! Remember what Stephen did in the book of Acts? As they stoned Stephen to death, he said, … “Lord, LAY NOT THIS SIN TO THEIR CHARGE.” …

-WOW!-

-Stephen had a revelation of the forgiveness and love of God. May we press in to know the true God of the Bible, WHO IS LOVE, AND HAS FORGIVEN TO THE UTTERMOST! We must see that Jesus is our Jubilee. He has released the entire creation from its sin debt, EVERY MAN IN HIS OWN ORDER!

-"Even as Jesus Christ is the central Person of all history, the law of Jubilee is the most fundamental law of all creation. The law of Jubilee is the basis of FORGIVENESS and grace. It is the purpose and goal of the law itself. It compels a climax of earth history and a full end of the dominion of darkness and sin. The basic law of Jubilee is recorded in Leviticus 25:8-13." -PRAISE GOD! WE ARE FORGIVEN! NOW … LET US FORGIVE ALL!-
