WHY?
-Why? Why what? Why is it so hard for people to believe the simple declarations of scripture that declare that Jesus Christ
is the SAVIOR OF THE WORLD? The Bible very clearly speaks of the salvation of ALL MEN! So … Why?
-Let us consider these things:
1. People are vengeful.
2. Many Bibles have been tainted with the PAGAN DOCTRINE of the Dark Ages ( eternal torture ).
3. Mankind has a natural tendency to stay with what we are most familiar with, EVEN IF IT IS UNTRUE … Remember …
The traditions and doctrines of men make the Word of God of none effect.
4. Political, religious, and economic powers have found “fear of hell” to be an extremely effective power to
keep the masses in subjection.
5. We do not understand God’s sovereignty, foreknowledge, power, omniscience, purpose of creation, and His unconditional
love.
6. We fail to believe DIRECT STATEMENTS OF SCRIPTURE declaring the ultimate salvation of all through the saving work of
Jesus Christ ( the atonement ).
7. We fail to understand the purpose of God’s: judgment, punishment, wrath, vengeance, and fire, for they are all
for the purpose of correction and purification.
-We can either humble ourselves and fall on the rock ( Christ ), receiving this beautiful revelation now, or we can have
the rock fall on us in correction in the ages to come. But make no mistake about it, ALL WILL EVENTUALLY COME TO THE SAVING
KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
-1ST Timothy 2:3-6 states, … For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will
have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one Mediator between God
and men, the Man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time …
-So … Why not? Why not believe the truth of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ? All we have to lose is our ignorance,
pride, and self-righteousness. How could we not believe that a God Who is all-powerful and all-loving will save all men from
sin and death?
