THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL
-It is important for us to rightly divide the Holy Scriptures. Many people open the Bible and begin to quote scriptures
without even considering who is speaking, who is being spoken to, the setting, circumstance, and situation of the day in which
it was spoken.
According to Miles Coverdale:
-"It shall greatly help you to understand scripture if you mark--not only what is spoken and written, but of whom, and
to whom, with what words, at what time, where, to what intent, with what circumstances, considering what goes before and what
follows after." ( Miles Coverdale )
-Matthew 10:5,6 states, … These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, GO NOT INTO THE WAY OF THE GENTILES,
AND INTO ANY CITY OF THE SAMARITANS ENTER NOT: BUT GO RATHER TO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL … Matthew 15:24,26
states, … Jesus said, I am not sent but unto THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL … It is not profitable to take
the CHILDREN’S ( Israel’s ) bread, and to cast it to the DOGS ( the Gentiles ) …
-As we can see, Jesus came to speak first, foremost, and directly to the JEWS ONLY! His primary mission was to convince
the Jews that He was the Messiah, and to convince them to repent and believe on Him as the Savior of the world. Jesus, the
KING OF THE JEWS, knew that HIS OWN PEOPLE would reject Him as Messiah, but to fulfill all things, He went to them first with
the message of the Kingdom of God.
-Here are some scriptures that show this very thing:
-Matthew 8:12 states, … But the children of the kingdom ( the Jews ) shall be cast into outer darkness: there shall
be weeping and gnashing of teeth ( their current day situation in which they find themselves in, for they are blinded to the
fact that their Messiah has already come ) … Matthew 21:43 states, … Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of
God shall be taken from you ( the Jews ), and given to a nation ( the Gentiles ) bringing forth the fruits thereof …
Acts 18:6 states, … And when they ( the Jews ) opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he ( Paul ) shook his raiment, and
said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles …
-We can clearly see that Jesus went to the Jews, and that the apostle Paul went to the Gentiles. Jesus warned the Jews
that if they did not repent, the Kingdom would be taken from them and given to the Gentiles. In essence, THE RICH MAN ( the
Jews ) did not repent, and the Kingdom was given to LAZARUS ( the Gentiles ). THE “PARABLE” OF THE RICH MAN AND
LAZARUS IS ABOUT THIS VERY THING!
-As we know, the Kingdom was indeed taken from the Jews and given to the Gentiles. But Israel is not left without hope!
Romans 11:25 states, … For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this MYSTERY, lest you should be wise
in your own conceits; THAT BLINDNESS IN PART IS HAPPENED TO ISRAEL, UNTIL THE FULLNESS OF THE GENTILES BE COME IN …
Paul then goes on to tell us the GOOD NEWS, which is that: …
-ALL ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED!-
