THE WORD OF GOD

-What is the Word of God? More importantly, WHO is the Word of God? Is the Bible the Word of God? If it is, which one ( Bible ) is correct, for there are many translations? Is the King James Version the Word of God, or is it another version or translation that is the Word of God? Sounds confusing … Huh? Let us see if there are some statements in the Bible that answer this all-important question. What or Who is the Word of God?

-John 1:1 states, … In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God … John 1:14 states, … And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelled among us, … Revelation 19:3 states, … And He ( Jesus ) was clothed in a vesture dipped in blood: AND HIS NAME IS CALLED THE WORD OF GOD … Well … There you have it! The WORD of God is a person. It is the Lord Jesus Christ!

-The Amplified Bible reads as follows ( John 1:1 ), … In the beginning ( before all time ) was the Word ( Christ ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself … The Word of God that is spoken of in this passage is the Logos ( the spoken Word of God ). No wonder that Jesus said, … I come ( in the volume of the book it is written of ME, ) to do Your will, O God … The Lord Jesus Christ is the personification, and manifestation in the flesh, of the SPOKEN WORD ( Logos ) of God. He is the living Word of God! We must understand that the Bible is very important, but what is more important, is WHO the Bible speaks of. It speaks of …
