THE AGE OF ACCOUNTABILITY “?”
-Is there an age of accountability? What is the age? Is it the same for boys and girls? Does it come on your twelfth birthday?
Does it come upon you right after you blow out the candles on your birthday cake ( ha ha )? Let us look to the Bible to see
if this teaching is of men or of God.
-Well … GO FIGURE … THERE IS NOT ONE SCRIPTURE IN THE ENTIRE BIBLE TO SUPPORT SUCH AN IDIOTIC AND FOOLISH TEACHING
SUCH AS THIS! So where did this teaching come from? Take a guess. How about … THE TRADITIONS AND DOCTRINES OF MEN! Of
the teachings that belong to men, rather than to God, this particular one is quite fascinating, for it is totally and completely
fabricated. In other words, it was invented, or simply made up, being grabbed out of the air to help proclaim the teaching
of eternal torture, while trying to make God look not so bad in light of that false teaching. This "teaching", that an unbelieving
child under the age of twelve, after dying, is declared righteous in the eyes of God due to it being under the age of twelve,
has absolutely no scriptural evidence whatsoever. As man preached the false message of eternal torture down through the ages,
he realized that according to this teaching it would mean that babies and young children would go to a hell and be tortured
forever. In order to soften the blow of this horrific teaching, while continuing to teach it, they simply MADE UP the idea
of an age of accountability. This would in turn make God look good, and also would enable man to continue to preach his “so-called”
good news of eternal torture. It is a “have your cake and eat it too” mentality. The question is then, does the
Bible say anything about accountability? Well … Yes it does.
-Romans 14:11,12 states, … For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE
SHALL CONFESS TO GOD. SO THEN EVERY ONE OF US SHALL GIVE AN ACCOUNT OF HIMSELF TO GOD … Well … The scriptures
have once again cleared up the confusing babble that is to be associated with the teachings of men. The truth of the matter
is, WE ARE ALL ACCOUNTABLE TO GOD! Man’s accountability to his Creator will ultimately have absolutely nothing to do
with the age at which he dies. Those who die as babies, or those who die at a young age will of course be ushered into the
loving arms of God, but this will have absolutely nothing to do with the age at which they died. IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH
THE LOVE OF GOD, FOR GOD GIVES UP ON NO ONE! AS A MATTER OF FACT, THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD,
NOT EVEN DEATH (Romans 8:38 )!
-Many of God’s people, due to their lack of study of the Bible, are not aware that the Bible speaks of future ages
to come. Within these ages to come, God will deal with every person who has ever lived. All will come to know him as Lord
and Savior, including those who died as babies and young children. All will confess with their mouths and believe in their
hearts. All knees will bow to Him in worship and adoration. This is all because THE LAMB OF GOD TOOK AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD.
We are all accountable to come to the saving knowledge of our salvation THAT WAS PURCHASED THROUGH THE CROSS OF THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST. This has taken place, is taking place, and will continue to take place in the ages to come, until God is all in all.
So then …
-EVERY ONE OF US SHALL GIVE AN ACCOUNT OF HIMSELF TO GOD!-
