RECONCILIATION IN THE HEAVENS
-Read Colossians 1:16-20. This is one of the most powerful passages of scripture in the Bible. It states that:
1. ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY JESUS CHRIST …
2. ALL THINGS WILL BE RECONCILED UNTO JESUS CHRIST …
-The word "reconciliation" means: to bring back together again, to make friendly. Think of what is being said. God created
ALL things by Jesus Christ, and God will reconcile ALL things unto Himself by and through the blood of His cross, whether
in EARTH, or in the HEAVENS. Is there anything left out? Is there anything or anyone that will not be reconciled unto God?
HE WILL RECONCILE ALL THINGS UNTO HIMSELF! WHAT A POWERFUL GOD! WHAT A LOVING FATHER! WHAT A POWERFUL AND ALL-INCLUSIVE CROSS!
According to J. Preston Eby:
-"Oh, what a vast and all-inclusive statement that is ( Colossians 1:20 )! All the principalities and powers in heaven
and earth are included in the reconciliation effected by the blood of His cross. Oh, what a mighty redemption! Oh, what a
universal reconciliation!" ( Reconciliation In The Heavens, J. Preston Eby )
-We must understand that Jesus will not only reconcile all people unto Himself, but also ALL THINGS! Redemption is not
for humanity alone, BUT FOR THE WHOLE CREATION! The question of questions is this: What about principalities, powers, rulers
of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places, demons, wicked and foul spirits, and even the satanic
spirit that now works in the children of disobedience ( the prince of the power of the air )??? Will these things be reconciled
to God?
-YES!-
-Don’t be offended. Remember that Jesus said, … And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in Me (
Matthew 11:6 ) … If God chooses to create all things, including evil, and then to reconcile the
same all things, including evil, unto Himself, why should we be offended by that? Evil is simply a tool in God’s
hands to teach the creation, and to bring the human race to a place where its latter end is GREATER ( MORE BLESSED ) than
its beginning. This can be seen from a careful study of the book of Job. Job 42:11 tells us that all of Job’s friends
bemoaned him, and comforted him OVER ALL THE EVIL THAT THE LORD HAD BROUGHT UPON HIM: … The Lord gave Job twice as much
as he had before. In essence, Job was better off for having been exposed to the powers of darkness. He had heard of God, but
now he UNDERSTOOD God, and was brought to a place of humility and repentance. And so shall it be with the entire human race,
for the story of Job does represent God’s dealings with all of mankind.
-Revelation 4:11 states, … You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: FOR YOU HAVE CREATED
ALL THINGS, AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE THEY ARE AND WERE CREATED …
-It is not about us. IT IS ABOUT HIM! His purpose of the ages is to reconcile all things unto Himself. Philippians 3:21
states, … HE IS ABLE EVEN TO SUBDUE ALL THINGS UNTO HIMSELF …
-ALL THINGS!-
