#2 JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD
-In the spiritual authority and leadership of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
-The Bible clearly teaches the spiritual authority and leadership of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This
truth is to be seen from Genesis through Revelation. Hebrews 10:7 tells us that Jesus came ( in the volume of the book it
was written of Him, ) to do the will of His Father …
-John 1:1 states, … In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God …
John 1:14 states, … And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth … 1st Timothy 3:16 states, … And without controversy
great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the
Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory … 1st John 1:1-3 states, … That which was
from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled,
of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life,
which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that you also
may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ …
-It is now clear to see that Jesus Christ was none other than GOD MANIFESTED IN THE FLESH. He is the Yahweh
of the Old Testament that came to this earth, taking on human form. Remember … "Jesus" means: Yahweh saves, or Yahweh
is salvation! HOW PLAIN CAN IT BE? As we delve into the writings of the apostle John it becomes even more plain.
According to Robert Beecham:
- "As we stated in an earlier teaching ( Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John ), John is the gospel of 'I am'.
Only John records the great claims of Jesus. 'I am the bread of life.' 'I am the light of the world.' 'I am the door.' 'I
am the good shepherd.' 'I am the resurrection and the life.' 'I am the way, the truth and the life.' 'I am the true vine.'
'Before Abraham was, I am.' Who but God can say such things? No other teacher or religious leader before or since has ever
spoken words like these." ( The Four Living Beings, Robert Beecham ) As well, Thomas referred to Jesus as his Lord
and his God in John 20:28. Jesus accepted these words without protesting.
-The Bible obviously testifies to the Deity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is imperative that we understand
the spiritual authority of Jesus Christ, recognizing Who He is and what He has accomplished. ALL POWER ( AUTHORITY ) IS GIVEN
UNTO HIM IN HEAVEN AND EARTH ( Matthew 28:18 ) …
