THE HIGH CALLING

-Philippians 3:10-21 speaks of the high calling of God. What is the apostle Paul talking about? What is the high calling? What is he pressing toward? What is he wanting to apprehend? What is it he wants to attain? Is he talking about heaven and hell? NO!

-Philippians 3:11 states, … If by any means I might attain unto the RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD … This could also be classified as:

1. A BETTER RESURRECTION ( Hebrews 11:35 )

2. THE FIRST RESURRECTION ( Revelation 20:4-6 )

-This is the high calling! Those with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him ( God ) have had the eyes of their understanding enlightened. These same people KNOW THE HOPE OF THEIR CALLING. It is a call out of darkness into His marvelous light to be made into the image of the Son of God. This corporate remnant will be raised up in the first resurrection to rule and reign with Christ on the earth. The purpose of this is to set THE ENTIRE CREATION FREE ( Romans 8:18-23 )!

-Let us forget those things which are behind, and reach forth unto those things which are before. We have been called to PRESS toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus ( Philippians 3:13,14 ). What a hope!
