PECULIAR PEOPLE
-1ST Peter 2:9 states, … But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him Who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light:
… 1st Peter 2:9 ( Amplified Bible ) states, … But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated
nation, ( God’s ) own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues
and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light …
-Well … There you have it. YOU ARE NOT NORMAL! YOU ARE PECULIAR AND SPECIAL TO GOD! You are called out
of darkness into His marvelous light to show forth His praises. You are: a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a
holy nation, and a peculiar people. The word "peculiar" means: acquisition, purchased, a possession.
-We must see ourselves as a peculiar people of God for a treasure. He has purchased us and we are His possession.
We are not our own, but we have been bought with a price. We are therefore to glorify God in our bodies and in our spirits,
which belong to God ( 1st Corinthians 6:20 ) … This means that not only are we peculiar, but we have a peculiar
purpose. That purpose, as we have already stated, is to SHOW FORTH HIS PRAISES IN THE EARTH! In essence, we are being brought
from a revelation of Jesus Christ to a manifestation of Jesus Christ. This is the very reason why we have been purchased by
God. It is to distribute the very DIVINE NATURE of God for all to see. We are peculiar for a purpose, and that purpose is
to be a partaker, sharer, and operator in the very nature of God. You are not called to be natural or
normal, but supernatural and abnormal, bringing the world what it so desperately needs. It is this peculiar aspect of God’s
people that draws others out of darkness, bringing them into His marvelous light.
-So … Settle it in your spirit. You are called to be a distributor of God’s nature. This is not
a normal calling.
