TEN DANGEROUS POSSESSIONS
(GROWING UP IN GOD)
#10 LIFE WITHOUT JESUS
According to Bill Britton:
-"Can life really be a dangerous possession? Yes, dear ones, all that we have said previously can be summarized
in these words … life without Jesus, a meaningless, tasteless, useless, and even dangerous possession. To make life
worthwhile, we must have the nature of Jesus in us. To the extent that we allow Him to come within, to that extent we enjoy
the benefits of a full, happy, and fruitful life. Life without Jesus is a struggle for an existence with no eternal quality
or divine benefits. To find the excitement of a life full of the thrills of real happiness and the delicious taste of lasting

-We must see that the very reason that Jesus came to this earth was to bring us from a condition of death to
life. This means that we are being brought from the carnal mind ( death ) to the mind of Christ ( life ). A life that is lived
in the carnal mind is no life at all, but is actually death, FOR TO BE CARNALLY MINDED IS DEATH! True life can only be experienced
in and through Christ, FOR HE IS LIFE! God is bringing us to the place where we can say, along with the apostle Paul …

-Without the Galatians 2:20 experience being applied to our lives, we really have no life at all, but we are
actually walking in death ( the carnal mind ). In essence, our life (or the lack thereof) becomes a dangerous possession,
in that we constantly bring forth death ( carnality ) instead of bringing forth life ( Christ ) to those around us. How our
Heavenly Father longs for us to lose our life for His name’s sake, for when this is done we have actually found the
true source of life, which is Jesus Christ! Without a death to the self-life we are doomed to frustrate the grace of God over
and over again. But when the life we live becomes the life that is lived by the very faith of the Son of God, the true life
in Christ ( that we possess ) becomes a wonderful and glorious possession! This possession becomes the very thing that is
used to set us free, including the entire creation. It is His …
