THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD
-1ST John 5:4,5 states, … For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that
overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

-The journey of the overcomer is one of believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. In turn, we are born of the Spirit ( spiritually
awakened ) to see ( perceive ) the Kingdom of God. This results in an overcoming lifestyle that is fueled by BEING a believer.
Our faith is to be continually placed in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-It is IMPERATIVE that we see this as a PROCESS! We are overcomers in Christ, but we are also becoming
overcomers in Christ. We have been justified, and we are now being sanctified. We have been declared an overcomer in Christ,
and now we are becoming what we have been declared to be ( an overcomer ). As we stated earlier, this is all made possible
by our faith in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember … Without faith it is impossible to please God:
for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him ( Hebrews 11:6
) … It would do you well to read all of Hebrews chapter 11.
-An overcomer is one who diligently and continually puts his or her faith in Jesus Christ. As well, an overcomer is one
who HAS believed in Jesus Christ, IS believing, and SHALL continue to believe. THIS IS THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD!
WE ARE LEARNING TO BE BELIEVERS! WE ARE HAVING FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD! The lifestyle of an overcomer is also to be seen and
explained from Galatians 2:20, which states, … I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ
lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself
