THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART

-Psalm 37:4 states, … Delight yourself also in the Lord; and He shall give you the desires of your heart … Let us take note of what is actually being said here. The scripture plainly states, THAT GOD WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART! It does not say that we will have desires in our heart, and that God will grant these desires to us, but rather, it states that the very desires that you have in your heart WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU AND PLACED THERE BY GOD HIMSELF!

-Many people think that these types of scriptures mean that THEY can just dream up anything they want in their heart, and then God will give it to them. THIS IS NOT SO, AND THIS IS NOT WHAT IS BEING SAID! Many preachers take these types of scriptures out of context, and then use them to justify their lust for material gain. LET US STOP THAT FOOLISHNESS !

-As we delight in the Lord, abide in Him, and ask in His name ( nature ), He will give to us His desires. We will then find ourselves asking for the very same things that He desires. In essence, HIS DESIRES BECOME OUR DESIRES!!!
