THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD
-Romans 8:19-22 states, … For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the
sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him Who has subjected the same in
hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the
children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now …
-This is one of the most amazing and informative scripture passages in the Bible. Have you considered these
verses? Are you aware of what is being said? Do you know what its implications are? To understand this passage of scripture
is to understand the purpose and plan of God for the ENTIRE CREATION! Let us look at the key words in this passage.
-The key words are: earnest expectation, creature, manifestation of the sons of God, creature, vanity ( not
willingly ), in hope, creature … delivered, the children of God, and whole creation. These key words paint a beautiful
picture of the purpose and plan of God. This passage implies that God is responsible for putting the whole creation into vanity
( futility / failure ), and that He did it in hope. It goes on to tell us that the creation is ANXIOUSLY LOOKING WITH AN OUTSTRETCHED
HEAD FOR THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD. The creation is awaiting the hope that all ( the entire creation ) will be
made alive in Christ, every man in his own order ( 1st Corinthians 15:22,23 ). We are told that God’s people
( the overcomers ) will play a part in the deliverance of the entire creation, for it is the manifestation of the sons of
God that is said to set the creation free! This is speaking of the fullness of God that is to be manifested through His sons
( and daughters ) for all the world to see. It is actually a manifestation of the Son of God through the sons of God, for
we are His body. At this time the sons of God will be given their glorified bodies. It is an appointed time that is in the
hand of the Father. This ( the manifestation of the sons of God ) is to be seen as the fulfillment of the FEAST OF TABERNACLES.
IT IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION! Romans 8:19-22 tells us that the purpose of this manifestation is for DELIVERANCE! God’s
sons are going to deliver the creation from the government of man, bringing the nations into the government of God. It
is going to be glorious, wonderful, amazing, unspeakable, and astounding!!! The sons of God will continue to be used in the
ages to come, bringing all people to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. ALL SHALL BE MADE ALIVE IN CHRIST!
-The hope of the whole creation hinges on the manifestation of the sons of God. This is ( of course ) a direct
result of the saving work (the cross and resurrection) of the Lord Jesus Christ. The work of the Lord Jesus Christ GUARANTEES
that there shall be a manifestation of the sons of God. Remember … The only reason there shall be a manifestation of
the sons of God is because there was a manifestation of the Son of God. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
-The creation is on its “tip toes” anxiously awaiting this great event. Don’t you want to
be a part of it? We must realize that this is what God is preparing us for. Remember … The sufferings of this present
time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed …
